has taken great care in the preparation of the descriptions in this catalog. The forend, nosecap and operating rod are all missing, the original sights are intact and the action seems to function well mechanically. The straight grip walnut buttstock shows some rather rudimentary added checkering at the wrist and otherwise remains in very good condition showing strong original varnish, some oxidation leeching around the buttplate, dings and scratches. The action has mostly toned to gunmetal gray patina showing some spots of pinprick pitting, light oxidation staining and remnants of original blue in the protected areas. The adapter shows some moderate vise marks and dings, the threads remain quite clean and it is stamped with a small "A". The barrel retains about 60% original blue with the balance toned to gunmetal gray patina along with a few small dings and spots of light oxidation staining. Serial #76536, 22 Winchester Automatic, 20 3/4" barrel to end of the adapter with a bright very good bore showing a few spots of light pitting and strong rifling throughout.
